The LaGrange, Georgia community is grieving the sudden and tragic deaths of Jakhala Marshay Moss and Jamarcus Kennedy, who were killed Monday afternoon in a shooting at the Cameron Crossing Apartments, located at 1600 Meadow Terrace off Mooty Bridge Road.
According to the Troup County Coroner’s Office, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Law enforcement and emergency responders arrived quickly after reports of gunfire, but despite their efforts, neither could be saved.
Jakhala Marshay Moss and Jamarcus Kennedy are being remembered as beloved members of their community, known for the joy, kindness, and love they brought to those around them. Their sudden deaths have left family, friends, and neighbors in profound sorrow.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time. The incident has deeply affected the LaGrange community, underscoring the importance of safety, unity, and support for one another during this difficult period.
